In celebration of Emily Wilson’s translation of a Homer classic—the first English translation by a woman—Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center partnered with Kirkpatrick Foundation to broadcast The Odyssey in a six-day virtual reading. Over the course of six evenings in August, nearly 8,000 viewers across four continents watched actors, musicians, artists, and public officials each read a book of the epic poem, broadcasted live on YouTube and Facebook. Readers included Bryan Cogman, Leslie Feist, Bebe Neuwirth, Nikki Nice, Raffi Barsoumian, and Emily Wilson herself.
