The First Americans Museum opened in September after twenty years of planning and construction. Executive director of the Native American Cultural and Educational Authority, Blake Wade and his wife Donna Wade welcomed guests from around the country. Director James Pepper Henry and deputy director Shoshana Wasserman introduced thousands of museum-goers to the new facility. The opening was celebrated with traditional foods, dances, concerts, art activities, and even fireworks. famok.org
