The Girl with the Pearl Earring (2024)

THE STUDENTS OF El Reno High School in El Reno, Oklahoma, explore the vibrant world of color through master copy collages. These Art 2 students creatively interpreted iconic artworks, such as the paintings The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer (shown above, created by Rebekkah Fraze) and Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss (left, created by Sam West Burk IV), to enhance their understanding of color theory and composition. According to their teacher Fatima Silva, the students at El Reno High School use ArtDesk magazines for collaging, finding inspiration, and expanding their art vocabulary.
