LIZ BOUDREAUX | Tuesdays, March 31–June 2
This class will cover how to hand build lidded forms. Surface treatments will be discussed and demonstrated. Students will record their sketches of forms and decoration in a sketchbook, which will be discussed regularly. Altering techniques—including darting and paddling—will be introduced after a few weeks of building. Critiques will be informally woven throughout the course, with a final group critique at the end. The instructor will work one-on-one to help students develop their ideas and concepts. At the end of the ten weeks, students will present three pieces completed with surface decoration. $295
