Through the popularity of his smiling flowers and collaborations with Kanye West and fashion empire Louis Vuitton, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami’s work has become part of contemporary culture. A survey of the artist’s career, The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg, is on view through September 16 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
