THE PUBLIC GOT its first taste of Neufs for Oklahoma Autumn, the hand-painted outdoor basketball court installation by Hock E Aye Vi Edgar Heap of Birds at Campbell Art Park, next door to Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, with an opening event on May 10, 2025. Presented in conjunction with the nonprofit arts center’s Second Saturday XL series, the unveiling was complete with demos by local Native artists, interactive artmaking stations, music by DJ Nymasis, cuisine from Red Bird Concessions, performances by the OKC Thunder Girls and Thunder Drummers, and an appearance by the artist himself. The basketball court is free and open to the public through April 13, 2026.
