THIRTY-FIVE YEARS after Jenny Holzer first took over the winding ramps of the Guggenheim Museum with flowing phrases like “You Are a Victim of the Rules You Live By” and “A Name Means a Lot Just By Itself,” she returns with Light Line, a new iteration of this installation of text and line. Now in twenty-first-century LED, the six-foot-tall scroll of words demonstrates how Holzer continues to push forward the possibilities of using language and technology in art while reflecting on how the 1989 edition was a monumental achievement of design. – ALLISON MEIER
