Thought Pattern

On May 18, the Patterns of Knowing exhibition opened at the Mary LeFlore Clements Oklahoma Gallery at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. The reception served as a vibrant platform for diverse conversations, as the highlight of the evening was the artist talk, featuring Jordan Ann Craig and Jeri Redcorn, accompanied by exhibition curator Pablo Barrera. The trio delved into the intricate relationship between pattern and information in the artist’s thought provoking works, offering a deeper understanding of the creative process and the profound significance of Indigenous art.

More than 200 people attended the Patterns of Knowing opening and artist talk, including Bethany Scott and Ashley Forrest; Beth CreMeens and Enid Weldon; and panelists Jeri Redcorn, Jordan Ann Craig, with curator Pablo Barrera. On June 15, Oklahoma Contemporary hosted a memorial for artist Benjamin Harjo, Jr. whose work is also featured in the exhibition.
