Raymond Pettibon: A Pen of All Work

The New Museum is the first major New York museum to give artist Raymond Pettibon a career-spanning survey. Occupying all three floors of the building, A Pen of All Work features more than 800 drawings from six decades. He rose to prominence releasing 'zines and designing posters and album art for the influential record label SST Records. His ink-on paper drawings, often paired with text, are emblematic of the punk-rock aesthetic and have appeared as the album art for Sonic Youth’s Goo, as the Black Flag logo, and on the High Line in New York City.
