Outside the Box

Green Mountain Falls may be the perfect place to enjoy socially distanced art. This year’s Green Box Arts Festival included Covid-19–conscious programming to allow festivalgoers a chance to enjoy Colorado’s nature and new outdoor installations. Colorado artist Pard Morrison brought his newest work, Heartmouth, to nature. Through this towering sculpture of colorful blocks, Morrison hopes to convey “a sense of love, happiness, and community.” Green Box Arts’ first artist in residence, Chad Mount, debuted his new work, Pondering Ponderosas with Purpose. Animal Soul, by Jason Hackenwerth, evoked Greek mythology.
