Oklahoma Contemporary welcomed visitors to its latest exhibition, La casa que nos inventamos: Contemporary Art from Guadalajara, with two days of art-forward performances and festivities, September 23–24, 2022. The weekend included a chirology palm-reading table with artist Isa Carrillo, a meditative performance of Cruz Roja by Claudia Cisneros, a participatory picnic-themed work by peach, and talks with the show’s artists and curator. The exhibition in Oklahoma Contemporary’s first-floor Eleanor Kirkpatrick Main Gallery—guest-curated by Viviana Kuri, director and chief curator of the Museo de Arte de Zapopan—explores the creative output of the Jalisco capital through nearly fifty conceptual works spanning painting, sculpture, installation, and performance, all created within the last decade. Through January 9, 2023. oklahomacontemporary.com
