Just Desert

In the company of palm trees, editors, artists, and friends, a sunset cocktail reception in honor of the National Council for Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center was hosted by Rebecca and David McCubbin and Christian Keesee at the Eldorado Country Club in Indian Wells, California. ArtDesk was there to celebrate the release of its spring issue in March 2019 with an art tour of the biennial Desert X in the Coachella Valley, where works by John Gerard, Sterling Ruby, and Nancy Cahill were installed. The group stopped at Sunnylands Center and Gardens for lunch. Afterward, artist Phillip K. Smith III invited the group into his studio to view his light and space works.
