Cultural Diplomacy

On October 22, 2023, the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE) held its annual donor dinner at the residence of the British Ambassador, Dame Karen Pierce DCMG in Washington DC. Art stars Don Gummer, Joel Shapiro, and Jeff Koons were among the dinner guests. After a welcoming toast by Ambassador Pierce, editioned prints by photographer Diana Walker were presented. For thirty-seven years, FAPE has provided permanent works of American art for US embassies and consulates worldwide, contributing to the US Department of State’s mission of cultural diplomacy.
