A DANCE FILM commissioned by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and created by choreographer (and ArtDesk dance editor) Larry Keigwin, Waiting in the Wings is set to a propulsive new score by composer Curtis Macdonald. The film follows seventeen dancers as they move between backstage and onstage, capturing the anticipation and anxiety of stepping into the spotlight. Driven by the dancers’ explosive athleticism and electric performances, Waiting in the Wings will premiere on April 23, 2021, on the UNCSA website.
