AFTER MORE THAN four decades of multidisciplinary art, Barbara Kasten continues to push the boundaries of perception through abstraction. Scenarios features the artist’s recent sculptural installations, which are inspired by the modernist architecture in her hometown of Chicago and the interdisciplinary spirit of the Bauhaus. Fluorescent acrylic shapes, video projections, painting, and photography are joined by a site-specific intervention that plays with the architecture of the Aspen Art Museum itself, giving its Shigeru Ban-designed exterior a rosy new glow.
